Cinkarna at ‘’TiO2 World Summit’’ - Vienna 8-9 October/ 24

The annual leading industry conference **TiO2 World Summit** took place in Vienna this year on October 8-9. For over 25 years the Summit is a key event for the titanium dioxide (TiO2) and pigment industries, bringing together experts, manufacturers, and stakeholders from across the globe. Over two days, the event offered a wide range of interested contents, including presentations, networking opportunities, and discussions focused on industry trends, innovations, supply and demand, sustainability goals (ESG) and technical advancements in the TiO2 and pigment applications.

Attendees had the chance to connect with major players in the industry and exchanged knowledge about the future of TiO2 production and its applications. The event also included plenary sessions, fostering discussions on good practices and innovations in shared technologies.

Industry representatives and experts across the industry delivered insightful presentations, addressing critical topics, which additionally strengthens the role of the conference as an important platform for knowledge exchange. Cinkarna Celje, one of the European producers of titanium dioxide, was again among the participants this year. Technical Director and Member of the Management Board of the company Ms. Nikolaja Podgoršek-Selič participated at the event as a speaker, presenting company's sustainability project that we are highly engaged with: ‘’Wastewater from a municipal treatment plant as a substitute for river water in titanium dioxide production’’. It is one of our main projects that addresses sustainability - exploring wastewater reuse for our sulphate production process of TiO2 with the aim of reducing the water capture from the nearby river.

The event TiO2 World Summit offered good opportunity to connect and build relationships, fostering growth and collaboration in this dynamic industry and remains an essential gathering for those seeking to stay ahead in the ever-evolving titanium dioxide market.
