Special COOL powder coatings

In our R&D activities, we are committed to searching and developing innovative sustainable solutions that, along with top quality, make a significant contribution to responsible environmental management. We have successfully developed a new sustainably designed product – special COOL or reflective type of powder coating that reflects more sunlight in the IR spectrum and thereby reduces the accumulation of heat in coated objects exposed to sunlight keeping them cooler. Surfaces painted with COOL coating heat up in the sun by about 10 °C less than classic coatings in dark color shades.
 
By reducing the amount of heat absorbed by surfaces, they contribute to energy efficiency by reducing the need for air conditioning and cooling systems. This, in turn, leads to lower energy consumption and lower greenhouse gas emissions, thus contributing to a more sustainable future.
 
They can be used mainly on facade and roof elements, such as facade panels, roofing parts, external blinds, and all other elements where they can reduce energy consumption for cooling buildings. The second segment of use is for all other surfaces that we touch and do not want our skin to burn. Such elements are, for example, outdoor garden furniture and children's playground equipment.
